Kingfisher Outdoor Pool, located at 15 Kingfisher Court, will close briefly from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026. The short closure allows staff to complete a scheduled equipment inspection and minor maintenance on the pool’s filtration and safety systems.
During these four days, the pool will not be open for public swimming. Staff will test the pumps, check the water chemistry controls, and inspect the surrounding deck and fencing to make sure everything meets our safety standards. You can expect the pool to reopen for regular summer hours on Friday, August 14.
If you usually swim at Kingfisher during this week, you have several other options. The indoor lap and leisure pools at Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre are open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The 50-metre pool at Northgate Aquatic Centre is also open for public swimming. Both facilities offer drop-in swim sessions and aquafit classes.
"We run these equipment checks every few weeks to keep our pools safe and running smoothly," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "A short closure now means fewer surprises later in the season, and it ensures you have a great swim all summer long."
Check the Facility information and hours page for any updates. If you have questions about the inspection or need help finding a nearby pool, call 311 or visit your local recreation centre.
Thank you for your patience as we look after our community facilities.
