The City of Wrenford has finished the fencing upgrade at the Hollis Park Off-Leash Area (70 Hollis Park Drive). The project wrapped up this week and gives the popular Ward 2 park a fully enclosed, secure boundary.
The new fencing closes previous gaps and creates a safer space for dogs to play. Crews from Roads & Winter Maintenance also graded the parking lot access, improved ground drainage to cut down on mud, and installed new waste bins along the trail.
"We heard from many Hollis Park residents who wanted a more secure and well-maintained space for their dogs," says Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "This upgrade gives dog owners peace of mind knowing their pets are safely contained, while making it easier for everyone to keep the area clean."
When you visit the park, please follow the By-law Enforcement. You must keep your dog on a leash no longer than two metres when entering and leaving the area, and keep it under voice control once inside. Bring waste bags and clean up after your pet. The By-law Enforcement team will continue to check the park to make sure rules are followed and the space stays welcoming for all visitors.
