Exterior painting work is now underway at Fire Station 4, located at 1220 Ambrel Lake Road, with crews expecting to finish the project by the end of August. The City's Roads & Winter Maintenance team is managing the painting and surface preparation to keep the building protected against the elements.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may notice some scaffolding around the station and a few parking spots closed off along Ambrel Lake Road while they work. Emergency calls to the station will continue as normal, and firefighters are always on duty. If you need to report a pothole or a street light issue elsewhere in the neighbourhood, you can still use our online tools or call the City directly.
The painting project is part of the City's building maintenance programme. Keeping the exterior in good shape protects the structure from weather damage and helps the station look its best for the community. Residents who live nearby may hear some noise from power washing and sanding equipment during the workday. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks residents for their patience.
If you have any questions about the project, you can reach the Roads & Winter Maintenance team at 519-555-0112 or visit the Roads & Winter Maintenance page.
"This building has seen a lot of wear from the seasons, and getting it painted now means it will stay protected through the winter," says Samuel Adeyemi, General Manager of Infrastructure and Planning. "We appreciate your patience while the crews work through the neighbourhood."
The project is funded through the current capital budget. For more information on how the City maintains its facilities, check out the City Services page.
