The Fallsview Arts Centre is hosting a free outdoor film night on its main lawn this Saturday, August 8, 2026. The event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and welcomes residents of all ages to enjoy a classic family movie under the stars.
Located just steps from the Centennial Bridge, the venue has set up a large outdoor screen and seating area for the evening. Local food vendors will be on site selling snacks and drinks, and the box office will open at 6:30 p.m. for those who want to grab a hot dog or popcorn before the show starts. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
“We want to make sure our community has a place to gather and unwind during the warm summer evenings,” said Fiona Gallagher, general manager of community services. “This film night is a great way for neighbours to connect and enjoy some local culture right here in Fallsview.”
You should bring your own blankets or folding chairs to find a comfortable spot on the grass. The event will proceed rain or shine, but if heavy storms are forecasted, the film will move indoors to the 420-seat theatre and we will send out an email update by 4:00 p.m. that day. No tickets are required, and there is no charge to attend. Restrooms are available inside the main building throughout the event, and the outdoor seating area is fully accessible.
