Fall leaf collection schedule released for October 2026

Fall is here, and it is time to clear your yards. The City of Wrenford has released the fall leaf collection schedule for October 2026. Residents can use the schedule to plan when to set out yard waste, find nearby drop-off depots, and learn how to sort their materials correctly.

You can put leaves into your green bin on your regular collection day. If you have extra leaves that do not fit in your green bin, you can place them in paper yard waste bags or store-bought compostable bags. Set them out at the curb on your scheduled collection weekend. Remember, plastic bags are not accepted, even if they say biodegradable. Please keep your bags dry and tied so they do not tear during pickup.

The October schedule covers collection weekends for all neighbourhoods. You can view the full list of dates and your specific zone on the Yard waste and leaf collection schedule page. If you cannot set out your bags before a collection weekend, you can drop them off at two City depots. The East Wrenford Waste Management Facility at 3500 Concession 4 Road is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Northgate Drop-off Depot at 1010 Northgate Boulevard accepts leaf bags on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions, call 519-555-0128.

Leaf collection crews will also sweep streets starting in mid-November. To keep roads safe and allow crews to work efficiently, please move your cars if you see temporary no-parking signs. We want to make sure every resident can keep their property clean and free of debris this season, says Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor. Setting out paper bags on the correct weekend and keeping plastic out of the carts goes a long way.
