The City of Wrenford is posting the ice resurfacing schedule for Eastfield Twin Arenas for January 2026. You can plan your visits around the daily resurfacing times at the arena on 620 Eastfield Road, Wrenford, ON N4Q 5J2. Crews will game both ice pads every day to keep the surface smooth and safe for you to skate.
Monday through Friday, the machines will run at 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. On weekends, the morning session starts at 9:00 a.m. and the evening session runs at 5:00 p.m. These times give the water enough time to freeze before the first public skate and before evening events begin. If a session is delayed because of equipment checks or a late ice event, you will see a notice at the front desk and on our Service Alerts page.
Keeping the ice in good shape takes care and cooperation. Please do not step onto the rink during the 45-minute flood window after a machine passes through. Skating on soft or wet ice creates deep ruts and makes it much harder for the crew to repair the surface. When temperatures rise above freezing, the crew may add extra layers of water to keep the ice firm. You can check the latest rink conditions and public skating times on the public skating schedule page.
“We rely on residents to give the ice a few extra minutes to set after each resurfacing,” says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. “It makes a big difference in how well the rink holds up all winter long.”
If you are planning to book a private ice slot or a public skating event, review the facility hours and rental rates before you submit your request. For questions about ice care or to report a maintenance issue at the arena, call the Civic Operations Centre at 519-555-0112.
