The Eastfield Twin Arenas at 620 Eastfield Road will close on Tuesday, February 20, for resurfacing work and routine maintenance. The facility will reopen on Friday, March 10.
The closure is necessary to maintain safe ice conditions and complete scheduled repairs. During this time, the two ice pads will not be available for public skating, league play, or facility rentals. All other city recreation facilities, including the Westbrook Community Arena, Northgate Aquatic Centre, and Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, will remain open as scheduled.
"We know these arenas are a busy hub for families and league players, so we want to make sure the ice is safe and smooth for everyone," says Fiona Gallagher, general manager of community services. "We appreciate your patience while we get the work done."
