Starting April 6, 2026, Wrenford residents will begin their regular spring recycling and yard waste collection. This marks the start of the City's annual service schedule for waste diversion and keeps our neighbourhoods clean.
The City Services department reminds residents that Blue Box recycling is collected every week, on the same day as the Green Bin for organics. Paper yard-waste bags will be picked up every other week through the end of November. Please remember that the Blue Box program is now run by producers under the provincial program, so it is collected on the same day as your Green Bin. If you prefer to drop off materials yourself, the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility and the Northgate Drop-off Depot are open to the public. You can also find more information about Development Applications and related planning services on the Planning & Development page.
Please place your Blue Box and Green Bin at the curb the evening before your scheduled collection day. Yard waste must be in approved paper bags; plastic bags of recycling or yard waste will not be collected. The City will also conduct spring street sweeping from April to May by neighbourhood to keep our streets tidy. If your schedule changes or you have questions about the collection calendar, call 519-555-0100 or visit the Garbage & Recycling page.
"Spring is the time to refresh our waste habits," said Robert Eng, City Manager. "By sorting correctly at home, we keep Wrenford clean and help the City reach its goal of diverting sixty per cent of residential waste from the landfill."
