Centennial Gardens spring planting volunteer day scheduled for April 15

Do you want to help make downtown Wrenford bloom? Join us at Centennial Gardens on Wednesday, April 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a spring planting volunteer day.

You can help Parks & Trails staff weed the flower beds, spread fresh mulch, and plant early spring flowers. The City will give you all the tools, soil, and plants you need. Bring your own gloves if you have them, and wear closed-toe shoes and warm clothes. We will serve lunch and hot drinks. Space is limited, so sign up online by Friday, April 10.

Taking care of the gardens does more than make the area look nice. It brings visitors into the downtown core, where they stop at local cafés and shops. "Spring is the perfect time to get outside and invest in our shared spaces," says Isabel Moreno, Economic Development Manager. "When our downtown looks its best, it helps local businesses welcome more foot traffic all season long."

For more information about downtown greening projects, visit the Economic Development section or call 519-555-0100. If you have questions about the event, email [email protected].
