Candidate financial disclosure statements now public online

Wrenford's Elections Office has launched a new online portal where you can view candidate financial disclosure statements ahead of the October 26 municipal election. The system is now live and available on the Elections page.

If you are running for mayor or city council, you must file a Statement of Election Expenses form within sixty days after election day. This year, the deadline is December 26, 2026. The new portal lets you submit your form directly to the Elections Office online, and it gives every resident a single place to search and review every filing.

"Transparency is a core part of our election process," said City Manager Robert Eng. "By moving these statements online, we are making it easier for residents to see how campaigns are funded and to hold candidates accountable before they step into office."

Candidates who do not submit their financial disclosure statements by the December 26 deadline will face a fine of $50.00 for every day the filing is late. The Elections Office will send a reminder email to all registered candidates in early December.

You can view the portal and read the full rules for filing at Candidate financial disclosure statements. If you have questions about what expenses must be reported, contact the Elections Office at [email protected] or call 519-555-0100.

The Elections Office also reminds you that you must file a Statement of Election Expenses form even if you raise or spend no money during the campaign. The online portal handles both paid and zero-dollar statements.
