Benchlands Folk Festival lineup announced with local headliners

The City of Wrenford has announced the full lineup for this year's Benchlands Folk Festival. The event takes place at Benchlands Lookout Park on the second weekend of August, featuring local musicians and regional headliners.

Attendees can expect a full day of family-friendly entertainment, food vendors, and craft markets. The lineup includes performances by local groups and regional headliners who have played stages across Southwestern Ontario. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. both days, with the final set closing at 9:00 p.m.

"Benchlands Lookout Park is one of our most beloved gathering spaces, and the folk festival brings the community together every year," said Councillor Priya Raman, who represents Ward 2. "We want everyone to enjoy a safe and welcoming day out by the river."

Residents planning to attend should review the park rules and transit options on the Parks & Trails page before heading out. Street parking fills up quickly on festival weekends, so using Wrenford Transit or walking from nearby neighbourhoods is recommended. The Downtown Transit Terminal offers regular service to the Benchlands area.

A schedule of performances, vendor locations, and accessibility services will be posted online closer to the event date. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and sun protection. The City will provide drinking water stations and first aid posts throughout the festival grounds.

For more details on how to get to the park, what to bring, and how to report any concerns on the day, visit the Neighbourhoods section or check the Event Calendar for real-time updates.
