The City of Wrenford is opening a temporary ice trail at Ambrel Lake Park this weekend. The trail will be available for skating and walking as part of the Wrenford Ice Days festival celebrations.
The trail follows the existing boardwalk around the lake and connects directly to the main Tamsin River Trail System. City crews have been clearing snow and applying a safe sand and salt mix to keep the path steady for families and dogs. The trail is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day. Please remember to bring your own helmets, knee pads, and gloves, and keep your pets on a short leash in the natural areas.
"The Ice Days festival brings our community together, and we want to make sure residents have safe places to enjoy the winter," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "This trail gives everyone a chance to get outside and stay active, no matter the temperature."
If you are planning a visit, check the Parks & Trails page for updates on park conditions and overnight parking rules.
