The City of Wrenford and local volunteer groups are holding a community cleanup day at Ambrel Lake Park on Saturday, September 13. The event is open to all residents and families who want to help clear litter and prepare the trails for fall.
Volunteers will meet at the main picnic shelter at 1350 Ambrel Lake Road at 9:00 a.m. The City will provide heavy-duty gloves, reusable bags, grabbers, and refreshments. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and bring their own water bottles. If there is heavy rain the night before, the event will move to Sunday, September 14, at the same time.
"Ambrel Lake Park is one of our most beloved green spaces, and keeping it clean and safe for everyone requires a team effort," said Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "We are asking residents to help us maintain the trails and natural areas so the park stays welcoming for the next season."
Residents who want to take part can sign up through Programs. You can also call the main line at 519-555-0100 to register by phone. If you have questions about the event or want to coordinate a small group, email [email protected].
