The City of Wrenford is hosting a community cleanup day at Ambrel Lake Park on Saturday, April 25, and we want you there. Parks staff and volunteers will work together to refresh the boardwalks, clear debris from the picnic shelter area, and plant new native species around the lake.
We will provide all the heavy-duty gloves, trash bags, and planting tools you need. Bring your own reusable water bottle and wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Light refreshments will be available for all volunteers. Families are welcome, and we will have a special activity station for kids to learn about local wildlife and water conservation.
You can drop in anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to help with whatever task is needed on the day. If you plan to bring a large group or need a tool kit delivered to your car, please let us know by calling 519-555-0100 or emailing [email protected]. We will move the event to Sunday, April 26, if the weather turns severe.
"Spring is the perfect time to reconnect with the outdoors and take care of our shared spaces," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "We look forward to seeing neighbours, friends, and families working side by side to keep Ambrel Lake Park beautiful for years to come."
