Starting Monday, September 8, 2025, a contractor will begin roof repairs at the Wrenford Public Library — Main Branch, located at 150 Mercer Street. The work is expected to wrap up by Friday, September 19, 2025.
The construction zone will take up one lane of Mercer Street and part of the curb lane. You may notice some temporary sidewalk closures near the library entrance. Crews will keep a clear path for pedestrians at all times. For more on how the City handles road and sidewalk work, visit Roads & Winter Maintenance.
The library will stay open during the repairs. The public entrance on Mercer Street will remain accessible, though you might need to step around a small work area. If you prefer, you can use the side door near the parking lot.
"We are working closely with the Library Board to keep this project on track while making sure your daily routine stays as smooth as possible," said City Manager Robert Eng. "Keeping our public buildings in good shape protects your tax dollars and ensures the library stays safe for years to come."
If you use the street parking on Mercer, please watch for the temporary no-parking signs on the day of the work. Street sweeping and winter parking bans will follow the normal schedule.
