Wrenford Public Library Main Branch closed March 10 for IT upgrades

The Wrenford Public Library Main Branch will be closed on Monday, March 10, 2025, for essential IT system upgrades. The upgrade work will take place at the Wrenford Public Library — Main Branch, located at 150 Mercer Street, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A3, during regular hours, so please plan your visits around the closure.

The library's computer network, public terminals, and self-service kiosks will be offline during this time. Staff will not be able to process returns, check out items, or assist with digital services. The closure is necessary to ensure the library's technology runs smoothly and securely for all patrons in the coming years.

If you need to return items, you can use the outdoor book drop at the main entrance. The drop box will remain open on March 10 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can also visit the Northgate or Ambrel Lake branches on that day for full services. Both branches are open on their regular Monday schedules.

"We know that unexpected closures can be inconvenient, but this upgrade is a necessary step to keep our digital services running well for everyone," said City Manager Robert Eng. "The library board has worked closely with the city to schedule this work during a quiet day, and we appreciate your patience while we make these improvements."

Library staff will resume normal operations on Tuesday, March 11. Regular hours will apply, and all digital services will be fully restored.
