Wildrye Splash Pad opens June 21 for the summer season

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park will open for the 2025 summer season on Saturday, June 21. Located at Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive, the splash pad offers free, daily water play for families across the Wildrye neighbourhood.

The splash pad will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until the long weekend in September. The City will test the water quality regularly to ensure it meets provincial standards, and a licensed lifeguard will supervise the area during operating hours.

“We are excited to welcome families back to Wildrye Park for the summer,” says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. “Splash pads like this give kids a safe place to cool off, burn off energy, and make new friends right in their own neighbourhood.”

Please note the following for your visit:

  • The splash pad is free to use, but the City requests that all visitors bring their own towels, water bottles, and sunscreen.
  • Glass containers, coolers, and outside food are not permitted on the play surface.
  • Washrooms are available in the nearby community field house, and shade structures are installed around the play area.
  • The splash pad will close temporarily for routine cleaning or weather maintenance. Check the Parks & Trails page for daily updates on closures or maintenance schedules.
