Wildrye Splash Pad opens for daily summer play
WRENFORD, ON — The City of Wrenford announces that the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park is now open for daily summer play. The new attraction joins the splash pad at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool, giving families two free, no-fault water play areas to enjoy across the city.
The splash pad is located at 90 Wildrye Drive in the Wildrye neighbourhood. It operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Labour Day weekend. There is no fee to use the facility, and it is open to all residents and visitors.
"We built the Wildrye Splash Pad to give our newest neighbourhood a fun, safe place for kids to play and for families to spend time together this summer," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It is a great way to stay cool while we enjoy the long days ahead."
Please supervise children at all times. The water jets are designed for active play, so running and pushing are not permitted. Residents are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and plenty of drinking water. Remember that the splash pad area is not a substitute for supervised swimming lessons. The Kingfisher Outdoor Pool splash pad at 15 Kingfisher Court is also open daily during the same hours. Both locations are fully accessible and feature shaded seating areas nearby.
