Transit fare increase effective July 1 for single rides

The City of Wrenford is adjusting adult and youth/senior single-ride fares on Wrenford Transit to $3.75 and $3.25, respectively, effective Monday, July 1.

These small changes help cover rising maintenance and operating costs so we can keep our buses running smoothly and our routes reliable. Monthly and annual passes will not change, so regular riders can continue to save by purchasing a pass. The fare adjustment applies to all fixed routes and Wrenford Access services.

You can pay your fare with exact cash, a Wrenford Transit card, or the Wrenford Transit app on your phone. If you need a card or help loading funds, visit the Downtown Transit Terminal at 1 Market Square. The terminal is open Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and you can also call 519-555-0114 for information.

"These small adjustments help us maintain our fleet and keep routes running on time for everyone," said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "We encourage riders to use the app or a monthly pass to get the best value and avoid carrying cash. The app also lets you track your bus in real time, so you know exactly when it will arrive."

Riders who use Wrenford Access can continue to book trips using the app, by phone, or through the terminal. Wrenford Access monthly passes remain at $175.00. If you have questions about eligibility or need help setting up digital payments, the transit staff at City Hall can assist you in person.
