The City of Wrenford is thrilled to invite older residents to the Mayor’s Garden Party at Centennial Gardens on Saturday, July 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This free community gathering is designed to bring neighbours together for an afternoon of music, refreshments and friendly conversation.
The event will take place on the main lawn at Centennial Gardens, located at 5 Victoria Street. Guests will enjoy live music from a local swing and jazz band, along with light refreshments served by City staff and council members. Complimentary parking is available in the nearby street parking lots, and a free shuttle will run between the Downtown Transit Terminal and the gardens. The shuttle leaves the terminal at 12:30 p.m. and departs from the gardens at 3:00 p.m.
“Get ready to enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon with your neighbours,” said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. “We want to make sure every senior feels welcome and celebrated. Bring a friend, bring your grandkids, and come share some stories and smiles with us.”
The event is free of charge and open to all older adults in Wrenford. Because seating is limited, we ask that you reserve your free ticket by July 5. You can sign up online or call the Seniors office at 519-555-0100. Please let us know if you require wheelchair access or have any dietary restrictions when you register.
For more information on other Seniors programmes and events happening across the city, visit our Seniors page. We look forward to seeing you on the lawn!
