The City of Wrenford will close a section of Mercer Street on Saturday, July 5, 2025, to replace a watermain. Crews will work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between Water Street and Church Street.
The closure will affect all traffic in both directions. You should expect delays and use Benchlands Drive or Corvid Way for detours. Local access to your home or business will be maintained at all times through side streets.
Wrenford Transit route 1 will be detoured onto Tamsin Street during the closure. Street parking along the affected block will be restricted. You will receive door hangers with more details if you live or work in the area.
Watermain repairs are essential to keep our system reliable and your water pressure strong, said James Whitford, Roads Superintendent. We know detours can be frustrating, but giving us the full work zone helps us finish the job safely and quickly.
