On Monday, November 11, 2025, the City of Wrenford will host a Remembrance Day ceremony at Wrenford Cemetery to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who defended Canada. The ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m. and will be conducted with full honours by the Wrenford Fire Service and local veterans' groups.
Residents are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Following the ceremony, light refreshments will be served in the Wrenford City Hall community room. We encourage everyone to arrive early, as seating will be limited.
Traffic and parking updates
Motorists should expect disruptions near the cemetery and City Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Church Street will be closed between Victoria Street and Water Street to allow for the ceremony and a respectful roll-past procession. Please follow detour signs and slow down in the area.
Service schedules and closures
City Hall will be closed on Monday, November 11. All offices and the Service Wrenford counter will reopen on Tuesday, November 12.

"Remembrance Day is a quiet but powerful moment for our city," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "It reminds us of the freedoms we enjoy and the people who protected them. We hope our community will come together at the cemetery to stand in silence and show our gratitude."
