The City of Wrenford is replacing the windows at the Provincial Offences Court, located at 120 Church Street. The project will begin on August 15, 2025, and is expected to finish by November 30, 2025. The new double-glazed windows will improve energy efficiency, reduce noise for court staff and visitors, and lower heating and cooling costs.
Crews will install scaffolding along the Church Street and Water Street sides of the building. During business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., parking will not be available in the two closest spots on Church Street. If you need to pay a parking ticket or file a Highway Traffic Act fine, you can still enter the building through the main entrance. The court will remain open throughout the work.
"Upgrading the windows at 120 Church Street is a practical step to make our civic buildings run more smoothly and save money in the long run," says City Manager Robert Eng. "We know construction can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate residents and visitors following the temporary parking rules so the crews can work safely."
The City's Roads & Winter Maintenance team is coordinating traffic management plans for Church Street during the project. If you notice any damage to the street or sidewalk from the construction vehicles, or if you see a pothole or drainage issue that needs attention, you can report it online or call 311.
