The Old Mill Museum & Archives is launching its autumn exhibition schedule with an opening reception on Friday, September 5, 2025. You are welcome to visit the museum at 12 Mill Street to see the opening display and learn about the monthly history showcases starting that day.
Starting in September, each month will feature a different theme. The autumn lineup includes "Echoes of the Tamsin," a collection of photographs and archival documents from the 1900s, and "Built by the River," a showcase of local crafts and tools used by early settlers. The museum has also added a new interactive digital kiosk where you can explore scanned records from the city archives and listen to oral histories from long-time residents. A curator talk will be held on September 5 at 6:30 p.m. to walk you through the new displays and answer questions.
You can plan your visits by checking the monthly themes and any special events listed on the museum's page. All exhibitions are free and open to the public during regular hours. Families are encouraged to bring children, as several displays include hands-on activities designed for younger visitors. If you have old photographs or items you would like to share for a future exhibit, you can bring them to the front desk or email the archives team.
“We are thrilled to bring this fresh look at our shared history to the community,” said Gwen Lachance, Heritage & Archives Coordinator. “The autumn schedule gives everyone a chance to see how Wrenford has grown and to connect with the stories that make our city unique.”
