Northgate Branch Library parking lot resurfacing

The City of Wrenford will resurface the parking lot at the Northgate Branch Library on Monday, September 22, 2025. City Roads & Winter Maintenance crews will start the work as part of the City's ongoing Spring Road Repair Program.

Crews will strip the old asphalt, lay a new base, and pave the surface. The lot will be closed to all vehicles from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each workday. The project will take ten business days and wrap up by the end of September.

While the lot is closed, you can park for free on Northgate Boulevard or at the nearby Northgate Aquatic Centre. Both spots have plenty of room for library visitors.

"We are making this investment now to prevent further cracking and to give library users a smooth, safe surface for the next decade," says City Manager Robert Eng. "It is a straightforward paving project, but it makes a big difference for your daily visits."

Please plan your travel around the closure and watch for flaggers or temporary signage near the library entrance. The City appreciates your patience as we improve the site.
