Northgate Aquatic Centre reopens after summer renovations

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Northgate Aquatic Centre at 910 Northgate Boulevard will reopen to the public on Monday, June 23. The facility has been closed since May for a series of summer renovations to update the pool deck, upgrade the mechanical systems, and improve accessibility throughout the swimming areas.

With the reopening, all aquatic programs will return to their regular schedules. You can join public swim, length swim, aquafit classes, and swimming lessons for all ages. The outdoor waterslide and the five-metre dive tank are also ready for use. Staff have inspected the new features to ensure they meet provincial safety standards.

“We are thrilled to welcome swimmers and families back to the Northgate Aquatic Centre this season.”

— Fiona Gallagher, General Manager, Community Services

During the renovation period, the City temporarily extended the operating season for the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool to accommodate local swimmers. We appreciate your patience while our crews worked to complete these upgrades. The City also thanks the staff at other recreation facilities for managing the increased number of visitors.

Check the facility hours and program schedules before you visit. Parents must supervise children aged seven and under at a ratio of one guardian to three children. All guests need to wear appropriate swimwear and non-marking footwear.
