City Council approved the 2025 Lights at the Falls program on August 25. The annual winter celebration will return to the downtown Fallsview neighbourhood, illuminating the streets from late November through December.
The display will feature energy-efficient LED lights along Fallsview Road and the blocks surrounding the Fallsview Arts Centre. Council also approved a revised crowd management plan and a $45,000 operating budget, drawn from the annual events reserve. The weekend schedule includes a community carol sing-along, a pop-up market for local vendors, and fireworks over the Tamsin River.
"Lights at the Falls has become a cherished tradition for our community," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "This year, we are focusing on making the experience safer and more accessible for everyone who visits."
Residents can view the full schedule and map on the event calendar. If you want to help, volunteer registration for crowd control and vendor setup opens in October. Drivers should plan for detours near the Centennial Bridge and follow winter driving tips shared by Wrenford Transit and the Wrenford Police Service.
