Larch Heights Golf Course will close its clubhouse and tee boxes on September 10, 2025, to begin its annual winter storage period. The 18-hole municipal course at 2100 Wrenford Line will remain closed until it reopens for the 2026 spring season.
During the closure, the Parks & Trails team will perform essential frost protection work. This includes covering the greens and tees with protective materials, clearing drainage systems, and storing irrigation equipment. These steps keep the turf healthy and prevent damage during the cold months. The course will also be closed to the public to keep walkers and pets off the resting grass.
If you are planning a round of golf this fall, please book your tee times before September 10. You can still enjoy the course through the end of the regular playing season, subject to weather conditions. Once the greens are covered, the fairways and rough will remain closed to all foot traffic until spring thaw.
"We take great care of our turf through the winter months so the course is in top shape for the 2026 season," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "The winter rest period is vital for the long-term health of the greens, and we appreciate residents planning their fall rounds ahead of the closure."
