Kingfisher Pool opens for summer season with new lifeguard hires

The City of Wrenford is accepting applications for lifeguard and water attendant positions at the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool ahead of the 2025 summer season. The pool is located at 15 Kingfisher Court and will open its gates in late June, running through Labour Day.

Positions are available for qualified candidates aged 15 and older who hold a valid lifeguard certificate, or those willing to complete the required training. The City is also looking for water attendants and splash pad monitors to help keep visitors safe during the busy summer months. All new hires will attend a mandatory orientation and certification session on June 10, 2025. Shifts will be offered throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.

"We are always looking for enthusiastic young people to join our aquatics team," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It is a great way for residents to gain work experience, stay active outdoors, and make a real difference in their neighbourhood while the pool is open."

Interested residents can view the full list of available positions and submit an application through the Careers section. You can also visit the pool office or call 519-555-0125 to speak with the Recreation Programs Coordinator. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all shifts are filled. Please direct any questions about qualifications or schedules to [email protected].
