Kingfisher Outdoor Pool will close early for scheduled equipment maintenance starting Monday, July 29, 2025. The facility will reopen for public swimming on Sunday, August 11, 2025. We appreciate your patience while our team upgrades the pool's filtration and plumbing systems.
Seasonal outdoor pools require regular checks to keep the water clean and the equipment running safely. Staff have identified a few components that need immediate replacement. Tamsin Valley Public Health has confirmed that the pool will meet all health and safety standards once the repairs are complete. The extended closure gives us the time to do the work properly and extend the life of the pool for years to come.
Residents who swim or use the splash pad can visit other City aquatic facilities during this time. Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre are open daily with full swim lanes, lessons, and drop-in hours. Both locations are just a short drive from the Kingfisher and Northgate neighbourhoods.
"We know the pool is a summer staple for families in the Kingfisher area," says Fiona Gallagher, general manager of community services. "This short closure lets us tackle the repairs now so we can keep the pool running smoothly for many summers to come."
Check the schedule for your preferred facility before you head out. If you have a booked lesson or program at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool, staff will contact you directly to discuss options or refunds.
