Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court has officially closed for the 2025 season. The seasonal facility operated from late June through Labour Day weekend, giving residents a safe place to swim and cool off in the Kingfisher neighbourhood.
As the weather turns colder and daylight hours shorten, City crews have begun draining the pools and covering the splash pad. Maintenance teams will also inspect the site and complete routine repairs so everything is ready for next summer. You can still visit the surrounding park for winter walks and snow play, as the area stays open year-round.
“We are grateful to everyone who visited Kingfisher Outdoor Pool this summer,” says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Our aquatic teams worked hard to keep the facility safe and welcoming, and we look forward to reopening the doors when the weather warms up again.”
If you are looking for indoor swimming options, the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and the Northgate Aquatic Centre are open all year. You can check their schedules and book a lane or join a drop-in swim session through Programs. Planning & Development staff oversee the seasonal closure process and facility maintenance permits for all outdoor aquatic sites. You can find more details on Development Applications.
