Fire Station 3 roof maintenance project finished

The City of Wrenford's Roads & Winter Maintenance team finished the roof maintenance project at Fire Station 3 on July 30, 2025. Located at 35 Westbrook Drive in the Westbrook neighbourhood, the building has been restored after a multi-week campaign to address wear from the elements.

Crews worked with exterior specialists to replace damaged roofing materials, repair flashing, and clear drainage systems. The project was scheduled during a slower period for emergency calls to keep firefighters on site and avoid disrupting daily operations.

The upgraded roof protects the station's equipment bay and living quarters from water damage. Roads & Winter Maintenance staff will continue to inspect other fire facilities across the city to keep them in good condition.

"Keeping our fire halls in top shape is just as important as keeping our roads clear," says Roads Superintendent James Whitford. "This roof work ensures Fire Station 3 can keep doing its vital work in the Westbrook neighbourhood for years to come."

If you notice damage to a city facility or want to report a construction site concern, you can do so online or by calling 311. For more details on how the City maintains roads, trails, and public buildings, visit the Roads & Winter Maintenance page.
