The City of Wrenford has updated the ice resurfacing schedule at the Eastfield Twin Arenas for September 2025. The new daily schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with fresh ice prepared at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. for players and skaters.
Starting Monday, September 29, the two ice pads will follow an alternating cycle to reduce energy consumption while keeping the surface in top condition. Pad A will be resurfaced at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Pad B will be resurfaced at 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. This staggered approach gives the ice time to set properly between sessions and cuts down on overnight power demand.
You can still book your ice time as usual. Whether you are organizing a league practice, a birthday party, or a drop-in skate, visit the online portal or call the arena desk at 519-555-0123. Remember to submit your rental requests at least fourteen days in advance to secure your preferred time slot. The arena is located at 620 Eastfield Road, Wrenford, ON N4Q 5J2, with plenty of free parking on site.
“We made these adjustments based on feedback from local sport groups and data from our energy usage reports,” said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. “Staggering the resurfacing times means we can keep the ice smooth and fast for everyone while operating the facility more efficiently. We want to make sure you have the best playing surface possible all season long.”
If you are planning a large event or a tournament that requires extended ice access, please contact our booking team directly.
