On June 12, 2025, the City of Wrenford released the summer ice resurfacing and facility usage schedule for the Eastfield Twin Arenas. The schedule, effective immediately, covers the summer ball hockey season and the ice preparation period leading into the fall and winter recreation programs.
Located at 620 Eastfield Road, the twin-ice facility will operate on a modified timetable from June through August. The main ice pads will host community ball hockey leagues, youth clinics, and open skate sessions. Maintenance crews will begin the annual resurfacing and pad preparation process in late August to ensure the ice is ready for the winter season start. If you live in the Eastfield or Tamarack neighbourhoods, this is a great time to register your team or book a family outing.
Residents can view the full weekly schedule on the Eastfield Twin Arenas page. The schedule lists all drop-in times, league matches, and the specific dates when the ice will be closed for resurfacing work. Bookings for the fall and winter terms open on the first Monday of December, and early registration details will be shared in the coming months.
"We want to make sure our community arenas are ready for everyone as the seasons change," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "This schedule gives leagues and families plenty of notice to plan their summer and fall activities."
