Eastfield Twin Arenas exterior lighting upgrade complete

The City of Wrenford has completed the exterior lighting upgrade at the Eastfield Twin Arenas this spring. The project, located at 620 Eastfield Road, replaced older metal-halide fixtures with modern LED lighting across the rink perimeter, parking lot, and walking paths.

The new lighting system brings brighter, more even illumination to the property. This makes it easier for summer ball hockey players, evening ice skaters, and visitors to see clearly when moving around the site. The upgrade also cuts exterior energy use by roughly forty-five per cent and lowers the long-term maintenance costs for the City.

"Investing in facility upgrades like this lighting project helps us meet our energy goals while giving our community a safer place to play," said Samuel Adeyemi, GM Infrastructure and Planning. "We are glad to have this work finished ahead of the busy recreation season."

Capital projects like this are part of the City's long-term plan to keep our recreation facilities safe and efficient. If you have questions about the arena, want to book a summer slot, or are planning a new build or renovation, you can find more information on our planning pages.
