The City of Wrenford is adjusting the operating hours at the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility to better serve residents during the busy spring and summer months. Starting May 26, 2025, the drop-off depot, landfill, and leaf and yard waste site will open earlier and stay open later.
Monday to Friday, the facility will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Saturdays, it will close at 5:00 p.m. The site remains closed on Sundays. This change aligns with the peak season for leaf and yard waste collection and spring cleanup projects. Residents planning to drop off yard waste, household hazardous waste, or bulky items will have more time to visit the depot without waiting in line.
"We know spring and summer bring a lot of yard work and home improvement projects. These longer hours give you more flexibility to drop off materials," said Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor.
Residents should check the Yard waste and leaf collection schedule to see when your paper yard-waste bags are picked up. If you have a large amount of yard waste, consider bringing it to the depot during the new hours. The facility is located at 3500 Concession 4 Road. As we look ahead to the colder months, please keep your vehicle clear of the curb to help Roads & Winter Maintenance crews keep the access lane clear for snow clearing later this year.
