The East Wrenford Waste Management Facility at 3500 Concession 4 Road, Wrenford, ON N4Q 7A1, will remain open on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2025, to help residents clean up after the holidays.
The facility will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on December 31. It will close on January 1 for the holiday and reopen on January 2 during regular hours. Regular curbside garbage and recycling collections will run on their normal schedule on New Year's Day. Please keep your garbage, Blue Box recycling, and Green Bin out by 7:00 a.m.
If you have a live Christmas tree to dispose of, you can drop it off at the facility today. For curbside pickup, place your tree at the curb the first week of January. Wrenford Transit runs its regular weekday schedule on December 31. Check Transit schedules for real-time updates on your route.
'We know the holidays bring more waste, and we want to make sure you have a clear path to dispose of it safely,' says Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor. 'Please keep your vehicle windows closed and your doors locked while at the drop-off depot.'
After the celebrations, if you plan a winter walk along the Tamsin River Trail, please pack out all waste. The trail system does not have public bins, and leaving trash behind harms the river environment.
