City issues building permit values report for Q3 2025

The City of Wrenford has released its quarterly building permit values report for the third quarter of 2025. Published on October 27, 2025, the report covers construction activity from July 1 to September 30 and highlights where development is happening across the city.

During this period, the City issued 284 building permits with a total value of $41.2 million. This compares to 310 permits valued at $48.5 million in the same quarter last year. The slight decrease reflects a shift toward smaller residential projects and more focus on infill development in established neighbourhoods. Single detached homes, duplexes, and secondary suites made up the largest share of permits, followed by small commercial and industrial projects.

"Building permit values give us a clear picture of where our construction activity is heading," says Samuel Adeyemi, general manager of infrastructure and planning. "We are seeing strong interest in adding housing in existing areas, which supports our goal of building a more complete and sustainable city."

If you are planning a new build, renovation, or secondary suite, the Building Permits page outlines the steps, required drawings, and fee schedules you will need to follow. You can also use the online permit status check to track your application as it moves through the review process. The City will publish the report for the fourth quarter of 2025 in early January 2026. For questions about permit values, zoning requirements, or upcoming development, visit the Planning & Development section online for full details and contact information.
