City hall public access elevator undergoes scheduled maintenance

Residents who rely on the public access elevator at Wrenford City Hall should plan ahead this week. The elevator located at 100 Mercer Street will be out of service for the entire day on Friday, January 17, 2025, to allow our maintenance team to complete essential preventative work. This scheduled upkeep ensures the equipment continues to operate safely and reliably for everyone.

During the closure, please use the accessible entrance on Water Street to reach the Service Wrenford counter and Council Chambers on the ground floor. All City services remain open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our staff are ready to assist you in person or over the phone at 519-555-0100.

"Keeping our accessible routes open and working properly is a top priority for us," says Katrina Doucet, Accessibility Coordinator. "Routine checks like this help us catch small issues before they become big problems, so we can keep the building fully accessible for all residents."

If you need help navigating the building or require a different arrangement to access City services on January 17, please call us in advance. You can also find detailed information on how we handle accessibility barriers and our commitments to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, on the Accessibility page.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we complete this necessary work. If you have any questions, contact the City of Wrenford at 519-555-0100 or visit City Hall during regular business hours.
