The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that Canada Day in the Park will return to Centennial Gardens on Monday, July 1, 2025. The annual celebration brings the community together for live music, family activities, and a fireworks display.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. on the lawn near the cenotaph. The stage will host a lineup of local musicians, starting with acoustic sets at 5:00 p.m. and moving to full bands by 7:00 p.m. Families can visit activity stations set up along the garden paths. The Wrenford Public Library will run a kids’ reading programme, and the Downtown Wrenford BIA will host a craft market along Market Square. Food trucks will be parked near the Centennial Bridge, and a beverage garden will be available for adults.
Because the festival takes over the downtown core, the City will temporarily close Mercer Street to through traffic from Victoria Street to Water Street between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Residents who rely on snow route exemptions or who need emergency access should check the temporary parking rules before heading out. For details on road closures, parking bans, and how winter maintenance crews clear these streets, visit Roads & Winter Maintenance. Public transit will run on a Sunday schedule, and the Downtown Transit Terminal will stay open late to take you home.
“Canada Day in the Park is one of our favourite community traditions,” said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. “We are working closely with the Downtown Wrenford BIA and local volunteers to make sure everyone has a safe and memorable day.”
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the festivities. For full event details and a printable map, see News & Events.
