Benchlands Folk Festival announces 2025 lineup of local artists

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce the 2025 lineup for the Benchlands Folk Festival, returning to Benchlands Lookout Park on the second weekend of August. This year's event will highlight the music, crafts, and stories of our own community, bringing neighbours together to celebrate the sounds and spirit of Wrenford.

The festival grounds, located at 500 Benchlands Drive, will host two days of live performances on the main stage and a smaller acoustic tent. Local bands, traditional folk groups, and solo performers will take the stage throughout the day. In addition to the music, you can browse handmade goods from local makers, enjoy food trucks, and watch street performers. Kids will find a dedicated craft area where they can make their own instruments and learn about local history.

"We are thrilled to put the spotlight on the incredible talent right here in our city," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "The Benchlands Folk Festival has grown into a beloved tradition, and this year's lineup truly captures the heart and soul of Wrenford. We encourage you to bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and come enjoy the afternoon by the falls."

You should plan to arrive early, as parking fills quickly. A free shuttle will run from the Downtown Transit Terminal every fifteen minutes on both days. To see a complete list of performers and a map of the grounds, visit the Arts & Heritage section of our website. You can also book a park shelter in advance for your group.
