Benchlands Curling Club announces spring bonspiel schedule

The Benchlands Curling Club has released its spring 2025 bonspiel schedule. The season runs from March through May at the club's historic facility at 430 Benchlands Drive. Residents can watch competitive curling or register their own teams to play. Curling has been a part of Wrenford's community life since the early twentieth century, and the club continues to host tournaments that draw players from across the province.

The spring schedule features three main events. The Wrenford Spring Classic runs March 28 to 30. The Corvid Creek Invitational takes place April 11 to 13. The Tamsin River Open closes the season May 2 to 4. All events are open to curling clubs across the region. These tournaments are a key part of the local Arts & Heritage calendar, supporting volunteer-run clubs and bringing visitors to the downtown area.

You do not need to be a player to enjoy the action. The club will offer a Spring Spectator Pass for $5.00 per adult, which includes lounge seating and access to the snack bar. Skates and curling brooms are available for rental at the front desk on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in trying the sport, the club runs beginner sessions every Saturday morning during the spring season.

"Curling is a cornerstone of our winter culture in Wrenford," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "The Benchlands Curling Club brings the community together, and we are proud to support their spring season."

The Benchlands Curling Club is a City-owned, club-operated facility. All team registrations and spectator tickets are handled directly through the club. For full schedules, registration forms, and facility information, visit the Benchlands Curling Club page or call 519-555-0126.
