The City of Wrenford is advising residents that the Wrenford Public Library Main Branch will be temporarily closed starting March 15, 2024, for necessary IT system upgrades. The closure will last for approximately two weeks while staff replace aging network hardware and update the digital catalog and Wi-Fi systems.
During this time, the library will continue to operate at the Northgate Branch and the Ambrel Lake Branch. All regular services, including computer access, self-service kiosks, and library card renewals, will remain available at both locations. You can also use the library's online catalogue and e-book services from home throughout the upgrade period. Residents who typically use the Main Branch for quiet study or group meetings can reserve a room at the Northgate or Ambrel Lake Branches. Meeting room bookings can be made online or by calling the branch directly.
We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the technology that supports your visits. For questions about the upgrade or to confirm branch hours, please call 519-555-0130 or visit the Contact page for additional city service information.
"These upgrades will ensure our library technology meets the needs of our growing community for years to come," said City Manager Robert Eng. "We want to make sure every resident has reliable access to digital resources and a smooth checkout experience."
