Effective January 1, 2025, Wrenford Transit will implement a modest fare increase across monthly passes, multi-ride cards, and single-ride tickets. The adjustments are designed to offset rising operational costs for vehicles, fuel, maintenance, and insurance, while supporting the agency's ongoing service expansions and the transition to a zero-emission fleet.
“We understand that every dollar counts, and we have worked closely with the provincial funding partners and the City’s budget team to keep these increases as low as possible,” said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. “At the same time, maintaining reliable, frequent, and accessible transit is essential for our growing city. These changes ensure we can keep running the service you depend on.”
The fare adjustments will apply to all fixed-route riders, Wrenford Access users, and multi-ride pass holders. Single-ride cash fares for youth and seniors will remain unchanged. Riders who use the Wrenford Transit app or pay with a debit or credit card at the Downtown Transit Terminal will continue to benefit from automated transfers and digital pass loading.
