The Tamsin River Run festival returns to downtown Wrenford on July 20, 2024. You will find organizers working with City staff to secure permits and manage traffic along the Tamsin River Trail and Mercer Street. This year’s event features a five-kilometre run, family-friendly activities, and local food vendors.
As the event approaches, the Planning & Development department is reviewing the festival’s site plan and street use permits. Staff are making sure all temporary structures, stage setups, and vendor booths meet safety and zoning rules. You can use the Development Applications portal to track the status of your submissions or download the required forms for temporary event setups.
“We are thrilled to bring the community back together for the Tamsin River Run,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Our planning and development teams have worked closely with organizers to ensure a safe and smooth event for everyone. We appreciate you planning your travel ahead of time.”
You should expect temporary road closures and detours on July 20 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mercer Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Water Street to Church Street. On-street parking along the closure zone will not be available during these hours. The City’s street use permits page outlines the rules for temporary closures and traffic management plans for downtown events.
