Remembrance Day service held at Wrenford Cemetery

The City of Wrenford invites all residents to attend the annual Remembrance Day service at Wrenford Cemetery on Monday, November 11, 2024. Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price and local veterans will lead the ceremony at 11:00 a.m. to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who defended Canada.

You are encouraged to arrive early to find seating. Church Street will see increased traffic around the cemetery, so the City recommends using public transit or carpooling. Accessible parking is available in the north lot near Church Street. The Wrenford Transit 1 and 5 routes stop nearby, and the Downtown Transit Terminal offers easy connections across the city. After the service, attendees are welcome to join us for light refreshments in the cemetery visitor centre.

Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price says, "This service is a quiet moment for our community to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the people who protected them. We hope you can join us."

Please remember that Remembrance Day falls during the municipal election period. If you are planning to vote on October 26, 2026, please note that advance voting and election day are separate from this ceremony.
