WRENFORD, ON — May 30, 2024 — The City of Wrenford Parks, Recreation & Culture department has posted the updated 2024 summer programming schedule at the Northgate Aquatic Centre, located at 910 Northgate Boulevard. Funded through the approved 2024 municipal budget, the schedule ensures free access to public swim and affordable lessons for residents.
This season, the City has directed additional funding from the 2024 operating budget to keep drop-in swim fees low and expand youth programming. The centre will operate on extended hours through Labour Day to meet community demand. The facility features a 50-metre pool, a dive tank, and a waterslide. Public swim is available daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends.
“Investing in our aquatic facilities ensures that families across Wrenford have safe, accessible ways to stay active and cool during the summer months,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “We have worked closely with the budget team to keep registration affordable while maintaining high safety and water quality standards.”
Residents can register online through the Programs page or visit the Service Wrenford counter at City Hall. Groups of four or more can book private lanes by contacting the facility directly at 519-555-0121. Please check the daily schedule online, as hours may vary on statutory holidays. Swim passes are required for all participants under 16.
