The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the annual Lights at the Falls festival will run from late November through December. The event will take place in the Fallsview neighbourhood, right along the Tamsin River and under the Centennial Bridge. Families, neighbours, and visitors are invited to enjoy the seasonal celebration.
This year, the festival will feature thousands of handcrafted light displays, live local music, and a community market with food and crafts. The main viewing area will stretch from Fallsview Road down to the riverbank, with free hot chocolate stations set up at regular intervals. The festival is free to attend and designed for all ages.
To keep the area safe and accessible, the City will manage traffic and parking around the festival zone. Please note that the overnight on-street parking ban runs from December 1 to March 31, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on main roads. If you plan to drive, consider using Wrenford Transit or parking in the nearby paid lots and walking to the event. Street parking near the festival will be reserved for residents and emergency vehicles. The City will also enforce the Noise By-law 2016-122 to ensure the event stays friendly to the surrounding homes.
“We are so excited to bring the community together for Lights at the Falls,” said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. “It is a wonderful chance for neighbours to step outside, enjoy the winter air, and celebrate the season with live music and local talent.”
Residents living in Fallsview and the adjacent Downtown neighbourhood should expect some temporary road closures and increased foot traffic during the festival hours. If you have questions about parking, transit routes, or accessibility features at the site, you can reach the City Services team at 519-555-0100 or visit the Neighbourhoods page for ward-specific updates.
Mark your calendars and plan your visit early. The full schedule of performances and market vendor details will be posted on the events calendar as we get closer to the season. We look forward to seeing you under the lights.
