Lights at the Falls holiday event returns November 30

The City of Wrenford invites you to Lights at the Falls, returning on November 30 in the Fallsview neighbourhood. This year's event highlights the Tamsin River and local water conservation efforts, featuring illuminated water displays, family-friendly activities, and educational booths from the Water & Wastewater department.

Visitors can stroll along the river path to see the new LED light installations that reflect on the water, learn how to prepare your home's water pipes for winter, and discover simple ways to save water during the busy holiday season. The Water & Wastewater team will be on site to answer questions about protecting the Tamsin River, preventing frozen pipes, and understanding your water bill.

There will be hot cocoa, live music, and craft stations for children. The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Fallsview area, just off Fallsview Road. Admission is free, and the site is fully accessible. Families are encouraged to dress warmly for the late autumn chill. The Water & Wastewater team will also be demonstrating how winter storm drains work and why it is important to keep leaves and debris out of catch basins so the river stays healthy.

"We want to show that protecting our water and enjoying the holidays go hand in hand," said Robert Eng, City Manager. "This event is a great way to bring the community together while learning how we keep the Tamsin River clean and our taps running all winter long."

Plan your visit early, as parking fills up quickly. You can find more information on Water & Wastewater, including tips on Water conservation tips and resources and how to protect your home's water lines during cold weather.
