Larch Heights Golf Course fairway repairs complete

The City of Wrenford has finished a season-long project to repair and improve the fairways at Larch Heights Golf Course. Residents can now tee off on the upgraded 18-hole municipal course as the golf season winds down.

The repairs focused on resurfacing worn areas, installing new drainage behind the greens, and aerating the fairway soil. These upgrades were part of the City's capital maintenance plan to extend the life of the turf and improve playability for everyone. Work wrapped up this week, and the course is fully open for regular play.

While the greens are back to their normal firmness, the fairways have a slightly softer feel right after the new soil mix settled. Staff have mowed and rolled the turf to give you a smooth playing surface. The clubhouse is open for snack and beverage sales, and the driving range is available for practice rounds.

"We worked through the spring and early summer to make sure the course would be in top shape for the busy summer months," said Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "Golfers will notice a much better roll on the greens and fewer divots on the fairways."

If you are planning a round, check the Facility information and hours page for the latest tee time schedules and seasonal hours. You can also reserve a group outing through the City's online portal. The course will remain open through the end of the season, with winter closure expected in mid-October depending on the weather.

Thank you for your patience while the maintenance crews finished the work. Enjoy the rest of your rounds at Larch Heights.
